George and Anna Evanko raised their family of 8 children in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Thirteen children were born, but only 8 survived to become adults. The 8 surviving children produced 22 descendants. From those 22 descendants, the next generation includes 32 children. The newest generation has begun, with the birth of "9" children so far.

Let's Go Back a Few Years
I thought if we were going to have a blog on "The Descendants of George and Anna Evanko," we should include the direct descendants. I dug up some snapshots of Baba and Dede's 55th wedding anniversary, taken on October 17, 1965. You can see them here: http://picasaweb.google.com/jjlbs49/55thWeddingAnniversary?authkey=ntIjL9x0SbQ. If you've never used Picasa before, run it in "Slide Show" mode. I think the images look better (although they were taken with an Instamatic, so don't expect great). You will probably want to set the duration to something longer than the default of three seconds, which you can do by using the controls at the bottom of the screen.

Oh my gosh, I am so glad that somebody has those. I think they are great. (Are we the glasses gang, or what?) We have to get the others looking at this and contributing! Thanks, Joe!
Yeah, and it's scary to notice that we cousins are presently older than all of the parents, aunts and uncles were in those pictures (generally speaking -- I'm sure there's an exception or two).
As for the glasses, how come they are so popular again??
I actually remember that party for some reason...probably those older girl cousins traumatized us youngsters somehow. Great pictures, Joe.
