George and Anna Evanko raised their family of 8 children in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Thirteen children were born, but only 8 survived to become adults. The 8 surviving children produced 22 descendants. From those 22 descendants, the next generation includes 32 children. The newest generation has begun, with the birth of "9" children so far.

Happy Birthday!! (Everybody knows March is the BEST month for birthdays!)
Did you know it was square root day today? 3/3/09
Of course March is the best birthday month. Square root, it has to be the teacher in you!!!
One of our smart-alecks at work asked if it shouldn't be named "perfect square" day instead. That is, wouldn't square root day be 9/3/3.
I gave him an equally smart-alecky response.
For extra credit, there aren't many square root days. How many occur in a century?
I think I heard this....12? I can't remember!
No, sorry. 9 is the answer we were looking for. We have some lovely parting gifts and thanks for playing our game.
It's actually pretty obvious:
1/1/01
2/2/04
3/3/09
I think you get the idea.
I know. I figured that out yesterday when I had more time to think about it!
